Mear is the solo project of Toronto-based musician Frances Miller who first cut her teeth as the lead singer of the folk-rock band Little City. Together with Trevor Kai keyboards and Robert Purcell percussion Mear has created a sound that slowly transforms pared-down voice, guitar and synth-driven tunes into grander, multi-layered, orchestral arrangements. Tonight Mear will be celebrating the release of Flood EP which !!OMGblog!! called, four tracks of folk pop gorgeousness a perfect end-of-summer record: alternatively introspective, soaring, sad and hopeful. Mear will also be premiering a music video for the EPs title track. Flood EP was created with assistance from FACTOR and is available on iTunes, Spotify and Tidal.
