Made in Quebec with guest, author Julian Armstrong

Julian is a long time food journalist at The Gazette in Montreal, a champion of Quebec's rich culinary heritage and considered an expert on the food world in Quebec. Her cookbook Made in Quebec tells the story of Quebecers and their culinary traditions, highlighting the farmers, purveyors, chefs and cooks from across the province's diverse regions, from Charlevoix to the Gaspe Peninsula. After all March is maple syrup season but Quebec is so much more than maple syrup and the evening's menu will reflect Quebec's love affair with gastronomy. Julian will give a lively talk on why Quebec's food scene is recognized both here at home and abroad, while reaching into the past to understand why the province is at the culinary forefront today.
