I wanted to send a note out to you all about the next party at 91 NIAGARA STREET!

As many of you know, the Jazzsexy series got its name from a Prince album one of my favourites called LOVESEXY. This seminal album represented a new direction in funk and pop music from my favourite artist of all time.

One of my dreams has always to present a party celebrating the music and visuals of Prince, on his birthday! Well, this is finally happening! For those of you who know me, you may remember that I tried to produce a similar event 2 years ago, but tragically broke my HEEL while I was hanging the screen on the roof, while setting up the Purple Rain film. I fell off the ladder and it was a 3 - 4 month ordeal where I was literally crippled with a purple cast, at least. As you can imagine, it sucked and I won't be hanging the screen for this event :

Well, this is the 'rain cheque' for a night that I was never able to attend - but it is going to be even better than what I previously planned!

I have handpicked the funkiest, most soulful cats in the country to formulate the band that will be playing - they will be playing classic funk and soul music all night, including a bunch of rare, well-known, and FONKY Prince tunes to fit the theme.

We will have a special Purple Punch available from the bar, and this party will be presented on two levels - a professionally presented with full sound system screening of Purple Rain on my rooftop which overlooks the CN Tower and will be staged with comfy padded chairs for everyone who attends and then the live music starting right after the film on the JAZZSEXY stage!

As usual, refreshments are available all night . We have a huge oak bar, hardwood floors throughout, cool lights, a raised stage, a beautiful Yamaha G3 grand piano, classic jazz photography throughout the space from Paul Hoeffler and others, an automatic Coke machine, and our friendly pug/mascot Oscar Peterson Jr.

Doors are at 8:30 pm, PURPLE RAIN on the rooftop at 9:30 PM, Live music at 11:00 PM, and DJing until LATE.

This is a RARE Saturday night party to celebrate the music of the most iconic artist of all time and I TRULY hope you can all make it out!
