We know hiring a Jr. is MORE about fit than skill, but it's tough to make a fit decision based on a quick skim of a resume.

Our Employer Speed Dating event is a new spin on things - a chance to jumpstart your interview process by meeting a large number of our Webstudents in a time efficient manner. Our top student's are often identified during this event, and it's not uncommon for our students to get offers BEFORE graduation.

Process:

Employers will be stationed at tables and given a note sheet which includes the names of the students they'll be meeting and a space for notes. Employers will keep their position while students rotate between the employers.

Each meeting will be 5-7 minutes in length, with a 1 minute warning before the gong sounds and a rotation is made.

6:00 - 6:15pm Registration

6:15 Take your places!

6:30 - 7:30pm Speed Dating!

7:30 - 8:30pm Networking with students and alumni with refreshments provided.

All of our students are available to start as full time Jr. Developers OR you can start them in an internship-style position, for a minimum of 2 months (avg. 3-4mo) and a minimum of $500/week.

To make it even easier to hire our grads, we're helping our employers access hiring grants - we can even let you know which students pre-qualify for the grants!

Our Toronto Career Services Advisor, Christopher Leabeter, will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about Lighthouse Labs, and arrange followup interviews with our students.
