Let's Talk About Art: Pop-Up Art Gallery, Lecture & Performance

Interpreting art can be intimidating. The TOES for dance 'Informance Series' seeks to make art more accessible to the community through interactive experiences with different art forms. By offering tools, vocabulary, and new perspectives, we strive to make art more enjoyable, regardless of your experience level or specialty!

Join TOES for dance in an interactive soiree for the creatively curious - Let’s Talk About Art: Pop-up Gallery, Lecture & Performance.

We are honoured to welcome Jessica Shaw (Learning Specialist; Canadian Museum of History/ Dance Teacher; Leeming Danceworks) who will kick-off the event with a talk on “Visual Thinking Strategies”. This lecture will provide you with tools for creative interpretation that can be applied to all art-forms.

You’ll have the opportunity to test out your new Visual Thinking skills while enjoying collections from local artists and artisans**, as well as performances by Toronto-based dance artists. If that doesn’t entice you enough... come for the free wine and cheese :)

Whether you consider yourself an artist, or you’re someone who simply wants to feel more empowered and informed when talking about art - we hope you’ll join us for an evening of interactive learning, social creative dialogue and…. fun!
