JPQ Presents: Dent x Bo Gottaeat x Dj Caveman & JPQ

Friday August 26th, Junction City is thrilled to house an end of summer jam that will reverberate through the ages.

Resident MC and DJ JPQ has hand picked acts from the diaspora of Toronto music that will make you think, make you dance, and make you feel as warm and nourished as the heat of this blazing summer. This is a party for music lovers, by music lovers.

DENT are not some cookie cutter rock act. They are more a trio of Cookie Monsters tearing up synths, guitars and beats to craft a dancefloor glistening breed of 4/4 ecstacy that would be as at home nestled in the LCD Soundsystem/DFA pocket, or peaking into the lights at Manchester’s Hacienda.

It is rock music. It is dance music. Crafted by a coterie of Geniuses that are as technically adept with their instruments as they are willing to stoke the silliness of pumping fists and sexiness of shaking hips.

Supporting this funky behemoth of whimsy and thump is one of the hippest MC’s in the Toronto underground rap scene today.

Bo Gottaeat is a rapper who is clever enough to spit long intelligent verses, but has the street smarts and fundamentals to keep things fun. He will both expand and blow your mind, all he asks is that you show up with it open.

Helping you get open will the the JCMH’s MC el supremo JPQ who will be performing his legendary big time showbiz introductions. JPQ will be joined by former London favourite DJ Caveman playing a potpourri of disco, house, rock, hip-hop, and techno.

As always, the Junction City grown and sexy bar team will be serving an elite selection of Craft Beer and cider, the arcade games will be glowing, and the pinball machines will be free until 10.

It is time to take the chance to dip your toe in the sweet waters of The Junction. The New York Time’s has raced about how “stylish” the hood has become, and that was before we brought you two cutting edge artists, in addition to a top dj duo that will keep jamming until you have danced through euphoria into a glorious September.

For the low price of $5, you may have a memory that last a lifetime. Come experience the joy of fun as we come together in spirited dance and ridiculous silliness.
