Jane Austen Festival

Taste, touch, smell and sound: textures of life in Regency England – experience Jane Austen's world through historical sites, food, clothing, music, lectures, workshops, and, of course, a ball! This weekend is an immersive experience that brings you right into the world of 200 years ago.

Taste foods from her time and hear the music she played. Learn the dance moves she loved, how to write with a feather pen, what cheese tasted like. You can even try on a Regency gown!

Lectures, hands-on workshops, tours, demonstrations and more -- dance at the ball, listen to the harp by lamplight, play historical games. Venues include Montgomery's Inn, Mackenzie House, St James's Cathedral, Market Gallery and National Historic Site Toronto's First Post Office.

The event begins on Friday, May 29 and runs all weekend until suppertime on Sunday, May 31st. Combination packages are available and offer significant discounts. Please note that meals must be booked by Monday, May 25. For the full schedule, other details and ticket purchase, see www.JaneAustenDancing.ca
