MANY STORIES & HOW THE EAST MEETS WEST AGAIN!!!

"Cold Iron Is A Titanic Comedy" 72 mins, is loaded to the water-line with references to art history and mythology, and frequently repeats an unknown and scrolling plagiarized Chinese script. The director found bundles of printing at the side of the road in downtown Toronto and these abandoned, frail pieces of paper were photographed and animated by hand and included in the film as metaphors for the accidental and unknown in film and culture. With an interest in Zen Buddhism for over twenty years, the chinese script was meaningful & important for the director even though he doesn't read or understand Chinese. As a philosophical and creative platform, the director always includes in his film-work, that which is not understood as a reference and comment on art making and creation.
