Island Harvest Dinner

An evening of delights for ears, eyes, nose and tongue.

Come celebrate the harvest season and the start of autumn in a lakeside setting, so beautiful it's hard to believe it's so close to the city.

Enjoy a seasonal meal interspersed with performances from talented musicians encompassing folk, operatic and electro-acoustic traditions.

Harvest Dinner by Gibraltar Point's most celebrated chefs, Luisa Milan, Claire Tallarico & Pat Jeffries.

Gpoint Chefs will be honouring a season of growth by using ingredients from Artscape Gibraltar Point's garden. Meal will be presented under a canopy of twinkle lights, with elegant place settings and family style service.

All proceeds from this harvest dinner will go to supporting Gpoint Point Organic garden initiative. This initiative, led by Pat Jeffries and Claire Tallarico, is to support Artscape Gibraltar Point's ability to grow produce for residence and local business on the island.

Centre island dock is at 25min walk and 7min bike ride.

Tamara Lindeman is a vocalist and songwriter who leads the acclaimed band The Weather Station. Her new album, Loyalty, recorded in collaboation with Afie Jurvanen Bahamas and Robbie Lackritz Feist will be released in late 2014.

Ronan MacParland is an operatic singer who has toured internationally. He performs with Against the Grain Theatre, and is a post-graduate student at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Ronan's performance will be animated by video projections from Zeesy Powers, an interdisciplinary artist known for her projection performances which have been exhibited across North America, Europe and Japan.

Nikki Woolsey is an artist who works in sculpture, photography, and collage, elevating everyday objects in beautiful and disquieting compositions. Nikki regularly shows art at Doored, a monthly performance night hosted by Life of a Craphead. Recent group exhibitions include One, Two, and More Than Two at the Power Plant and Push and Pull at Mercer Union, both in Toronto.

Andrew Zukerman is a sound collage artist. He is an active participant in Toronto's experimental music and film communities, and is a frequent artistic collaborator on soundtracks for theatre, performance and film. Public Slaw, his film with Winston Hacking Exploding Motorcar, recently premiered in Toronto. Andrew performs solo work as Fleshtone Aura.
