The Tunnel Book looks like a simple book until it begins to unfold. A combination of accordion books, papercutting and collage, the tunnel book allows artists to create multi‐ layered scenes. Used historically to depict theatrical performances and as travelogues, the tunnel book’s multiple layers create a sense of exploration and discovery for each reader.

Using paper cuts, collage and accordions, learn to create a multi-layered book that unfolds to reveal 3D-style book. Inspired by theatre staging, the Tunnel Book uses layers of papercut pages to reveal a multi-dimensional scene - hence its original name 'The Peep Show Book'.
