Holiday Showcase for Young Readers

So, we’ve had our first snowfall. And hipsters have started to post selfies featuring tacky yuletide sweaters. But the festive season will only begin for book-lovers aged 2-12 with Small Print Toronto’s annual Holiday Showcase.

This year’s showcase will feature the authors of many of the fall’s most acclaimed titles for young readers - all from esteemed Canadian publisher Tundra Books:

Between 1-3 pm, creators Julie Kraulis, Kyo Maclear, and Cybéle Young will read and conduct cool crafts for readers aged 2-8.

Between 3-4 pm, authors Natale Ghent, Marthe Jocelyn, and Richard Scrimger will deliver presentations and run activities for the 8-12 set.

Throughout the day, readers of all ages can take part in a giant comic book jam.

Since few gifts give as much long-lasting joy as a signed book, TYPE Books will make all of the featured titles - Millhouse by Natale Ghent, Viminy Croww's Comic Book by Marthe Jocelyn & Richard Scimger, An Armadillo in Paris by Julie Kraulis, Julia, Child by Kyo Maclear and Nancy Knows by Cybele Young - available for purchase at the event.

Space is limited. Get your free tickets early at www.smallprinttoronto.org
