Papiosco Y Grupo Ritmicos De Toronto

Papiosco y Grupo Ritmicos De Toronto bring a contemporary sound to traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms. With an all-star Cuban Toronto line up that includes former and current members from legendary fusion groups Klimax and Cubanismo, this nine piece-ensemble is led by percussionist Jorge Luis Torres (aka Papiosco) and features the stellar vocalists Alberto Alberto and Angel Luis Marquez.

Madelin Espinosa

No one brings Latin flavour and rhythms with such style like Cuban multi-percussionist, Madelin Espinosa. Born into a family of artists and percussionists in Havana, Cuba, Madelin studied at the prestigious Felix Varela School of Music. Afterwards, she kicked off her professional career playing in various all women percussion groups and collaborated with other groups and recordings including Raul Torres’ Fenix de Crystal. Madelin is currently living in Madrid, Spain and has toured Finland and Sweden with singer Jari Sillanpaa and band director Carlos del Puerto.
