Saturday Dinette is a modern diner created for the Leslieville and Riverdale locals. Inspired by the local diner it once was, she has rejuvenated this vacant space and returned it to the community. Harvest Wednesdays is a local culinary series inspired by the Gladstone’s long-time investment in four ‘shares’ of a local Community Shared Agriculture Farm, Chick-a-biddy Acres Farms. By showcasing their local produce each week alongside guest chefs, community organizations and local producers, Harvest Wednesdays sparks conversations about Community Shared Agriculture, eating locally for global change, bridging the gap between urban and rural and of course, enjoying seasonal Ontario produce, picked from the land just the day before.

What is Community Shared Agriculture (C.S.A.)

Community Shared Agriculture allows city residents to have direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown locally by regional farmers. When you become a member of a CSA, you’re purchasing a “share” of vegetables from a regional farmer. It is a relationship of shared bounty and shared risk.
