Forget about press release formalities, this one is personal. Ive been wanting to present this double bill for close to a decade, ever since hearing two of the best jazz/funk bands ever to come out of Toronto play on back-to-back weekends at the old Lorraines Jazz Joint on Stafford Street. Last week, Grvoria played a 2-set show at May on Dundas St. West, that gave them the time and room to stretch out their music into the mind-melting 10-minute jams that their loyal fans have come to love and anticipate over their 15-year history. And people who were there & found out about this upcoming show with Brainfudge had words to the effect of Holy s--t. So yeah, this one is gonna be extra-special.
