In July 2008 artist Meredith Wrede traveled to different regions of Mexico as the Journeywoman with the intention of finding places beyond the veil, the fabric that holds our present reality in place. As she opened herself up to this energetic and intuitive journey she was able to give form to her experience through movement and dance. Photographer Marilyn Westlake was asked to capture these moments that would have otherwise been left to fade away. These photographs show us the Journeywoman as she peers beyond the veil.
