Girls Night Out: The Genius of Marian Screening

Did you know that women make up almost three-quarters of Canadians with dementia?

Join the Alzheimer Society of Toronto on September 16th 2014, for a Girls Night Out at the Movies to learn more about the experiences of women living with the disease. Guest speakers Carolyn and Claire will share their personal journey with their mother's early onset of dementia.

Together, we'll watch The Genius of Marian, a documentary about one family's struggle with Alzheimer's disease. After Pam White is diagnosed at age 61 with early onset Alzheimer's, life begins to change, slowly but irrevocably, for her and everyone around her. Pam's husband grapples with his changing role from primary partner to primary caregiver. Her adult children find ways to show their love and support while mourning the slow loss of their mother. And Pam begins a journey from fear to acceptance.

Doors Open at 6:00pm

Screening starts at 6:30pm
