Get School'd: DIY Clothing Repair

What's it all about?

Wear a hole through your knee of your jeans? Or the seat of your pants? Don’t worry, we can fix it! Rather than sending your clothing to a landfill, add character and meaning to your garments by mending them! Join us for a workshop on October 5th and learn how to fix your favourite piece of clothing.

This workshop will cover how to patch garments, incorporating sashiko stitching techniques. What to bring: Please bring a piece of clothing that you want to mend. You are welcome to bring specific patches or thread for mending however all other materials will be provided.

* If you don't have anything you want to mend you are still welcome to join us and learn the techniques.

Who will be teaching?

Emily Neill is a Toronto based multidisciplinary designer specializing in textiles with a focus on their greater social and environmental impact.
