Free Breakfast and a Movie!
Join the Regent Park Film Festival for a delicious Saturday morning breakfast and movie - fun for the whole family - as we venture to Saudi Arabia to observe the beautifully triumphant story of Wadjda, a clever and determined young girl whose ambition is not deterred by the conservative limitations of her culture, despite resistance from those she's surrounded by. Wadjda is Saudi Arabia’s first feature-length film by a female director.
Pancake breakfast served at 9AM, followed by the Wadjda screening at 9:30AM.
The Regent Park Film Festival is Toronto’s only free multicultural community film festival, dedicated to showcasing local and international independent works relevant to inner-city communities like Regent Park, the largest and oldest public housing project in Canada. This year's Festival takes place from November 19-22 at Daniels Spectrum.
