Forward: Professional Development Conference

Features: Case Competition. $1,000 in cash prizes. Networking. Discover internships, jobs and careers from over eight different disciplines.

This is a one-day conference where U of T students may explore various career options through profession and skills based sessions. Students have the opportunity to interact vis-a-vis with leaders top of their field, including senior executives, professors, and directors. This conference also features a social entrepreneurship case competition with $1,000 in cash prizes. Attendees may choose to attend sessions depending on their interests, including journalism/public relations, scientific research, law, government, public affairs, business, economics and medicine. Admission to the conference is free of charge.

This conference also features its inaugural Social Entrepreneurship Case Competition, called Interfaces. Apply for an opportunity to showcase your analytical skills, meet like-minded people and take part of a challenge that tackles pressing social issues of our Canadian society.

Deadline to apply for case competition: January 25th, 2015, by midnight. The case competition has a cap of 40 attendees, with a registration fee of $10. Each team is composed up to 4 members.

Prizes for case competition: 1st place- $500, 2nd place- $300, 3rd place- $200
