This month we present the first in a new series of themed events where we ask local artists to reinterpret or "remix" a classic album cover live onstage. We're dubbing it the "LP REMIX PROJECT" LP being an acronym for both Long Playing record and for Live Painting.

At the end of the night, the resulting piece will be presented in a live draw open to everybody!

Tickets to the draw will be $3 a piece with a limit of 10 per person and will be available at the front doors from the time we open at 10pm til 1:30am. The draw will take place at 2:15am, just after last call, so please be sure to stick around to see if you've won! You could win a highly prized and valuable piece of artwork for $3 bucks croxx your fingers!

This month, renowned Toronto based artist Zara Diniz will be doing a live painting rework of John Coltranes iconic album Blue Train, throwing her spin on this timeless piece to create something entirely unique right on the spot!

Zaras work has been recognized and highly prized for its vibrant use of colour, tropical landscapes and imaginative manipulation of the human figure, employing a lyrical and playful painting style that has garnered her much attention over the past several years.

She is no stranger to the stage either, having won the Art Battle Toronto finals in 2014 and performed in countless live settings including Toronto Loves Kicks, CP24/CityTVLive Television, Pan Am, Adidas and The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts.

We are super excited to see what she creates for us!

The MUSICAL soundtrack will be no different than our regular events, meaning all killer no filler dancefloor burners to make you move, groove and sweat!

Expect to hear everything from AFROBEAT, LATIN, BRAZILIAN, REGGAE, SKA to FUNK, SOUL, HIP HOP, HOUSE, DISCO, RARE GROOVE & more!

Our resident visual projection wizard VALINO will be providing the eye candy onstage as well.

We are in our 13th year of events and we must confess that this past year especially has seen blazing attendance from a huge cross section of beautiful people! From the dancers modern, jazz, bboy, bgirl and music heads to the well dressed and the mysterious, but above all else, from those who come ready to shake it loose on the dancefloor and throw caution to the wind!

Footprints is an all inclusive event, open to all who are open to us and excited to hear great music and dance the night away!
