Footprints 15 Year Anniversary Bash!

Toronto's premiere open format dance party turns 15!

Well here we are.......15 YEARS LATER!

Nowadays, we consider ourselves fortunate to have a loyal and diverse following but truth be told, it was not easy going in the early days! It took concerted effort and TONS of promotion, from handing out flyers to building positive word of mouth with friends and extended networks. Most importantly it took us breaking ground and providing a dancefloor sound that went against the grain and was not all that popular back in 2002 and 2003. We were'nt club music and we were'nt easily classified, but all that people knew is that they really enjoyed the unique atmosphere, interesting music and the safe space that we provided where dancing and positive vibes came first, above all else.

Little by little we grew as other parties folded and now 15 years later, after throwing over 100 events, we're still at it and excited and curious to see what 2018 holds in store!

So in the spirit of community and honouring the lineage that brought us here, we are excited to invite ORIGINAL CREW MEMBERS Libydo Lybido & Stuart Li aka Basic Soul Unit to perform with us! It's been a number of years since the 4 of us have shared the same stage and we are all quite giddy to create something amazing for everyone in attendance!

These gents inhabited different roles; Stuart was one of our resident DJs who edged us ever closer to a futuristic 4/4 sound, while keeping an eye on those heavy jazzy and rare groove classics, while Lybido acted as our very first host and promotor. I actually coined a term for him back then, dubbing him the "Promotivator", as he was uniquely skilled at both hosting inviting folks to feel comfortable on the dancefloor and also promoting and building word of mouth.

It was this blend of all 4 of us, working in tight unison that brought us to the place we are at today! And for that I will be ever grateful!

We're excited to build yet another decade in dance so we hope you can join us for this VERY SPECIAL, ONE TIME event!
