Fogo Island: The Ephemeral Isle at One of the Four Corners of the Earth - Photography by Alex Fradkin - Opening event

Join us for the opening event, presented by bulthaup Toronto and Fogo Island Inn!

About the exhibition:

There is a an island off the Northeast coast of Newfoundland named Fogo Island, born of fire and stone, whose ancient geologic origins began over four hundred million years ago. On Fogo Island, if the stones could speak—and some say they do—each would tell a unique and epic tale. The remote island, located along Iceberg Alley, was named one of the four corners of the earth by the Flat Earth society. Peering over the rocky ledges of the island, one is stripped of all conceptual thought and left only to experience the island with raw emotion and sensory awareness.

Exhibit run: May 1, 2015 - September 10, 2015

Fogo Island: The Ephemeral Isle at One of the Four Corners of the Earth is presented as part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, which runs May 1-31, 2015.
