Music by:

PICASTRO (https://picastro.wordpress.com/)

Gothic avant folk ensemble lead by Liz Hysen and backed up by Nick Storring, Brandon Valdivia (Not The Wind, Not The Flag) & Matthew Ramolo (Khora) celebrate their European tour homecoming at Feast In The East. Sparse guitar notes dance in eerily with Liz's voice. Drawn out strings pull the songs forward like a slow march, percussion & piano fill out the space forcing the strings of grow more frantic & raise themselves above the strong textures. Liz's voice flows in & out, with no more dominance than any other element. Perfected in it's role, as a free roaming spirit among regimented structure. Simple yet haunting, a mass of textures, yet precise.

CHARLES SPEARIN'S ROADSIDE SILHOUETTES

Charles Spearin (Do Make Say Think, The Happiness Project) unveils his new improv based ensemble that travels through modes moving slowly from the lightest to the darkest. Roadside Silhouettes will featuring Charles on guitar, as well as a harpist, trumpet player, saxophonist, violist & pianist weaving their way through a modal jungle into the darkest depths. Their conversations built on abstracted beauty as they play off each other carving their own winding paths to inevitable convergence.

ISLA CRAIG (http://islacraig.bandcamp.com/)

Textural gentle soul music magician Isla Craig returns to Feast In The East. Her voice flows above like a cloud formation, filling all the empty space with it's volume. Layering over it's self, it takes you over, slowly permeating until it's presence is unavoidable. Guitar notes float in the background and a languorous rhythm section moves forward in an effortless groove, as if propelled by the waves of Isla's voice. The band tightens it's grip falling into funk rhythms, with jazz ideas buried in their undergrowth. A mystical simplistic beauty with a plethora of hidden layers that reveal themselves in a whisper. Psych-soul music at it's best.

A. MINSTER (https://anastasiaminster.bandcamp.com/)

Sweeping humble folk singer Anastasia Minster's voice soars over cascading piano cords and effected guitar notes that weave & hum like lost streams. Her vocals meander delicately over careful guitar textures that move from gentle meandering notes to heavy swells of chords laced with hints of psychedelic licks. Encompassing percussion pushes this psych folk concoction forward until it subsides into near ambient piano notes.
