EXULTATE CHAMBER SINGERS PRESENT: SONGS FROM SEA TO SEA, MAY 29, 2015, 8PM
Toronto, March 27th, 2015 – On Friday, May 29th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m., Toronto’s award-winning Exultate Chamber Singers continues their 2014-2015 season with Songs from Sea To Sea.
Songs from Sea to Sea
Primarily Canadian repertoire representing composers and musical traditions from coast to coast, this program includes song cycles and settings by Henderson, Enns, Somers, Freedman and Healey. The centrepiece, however, is American Kirke Mechem’s lyrical Earth my song, a cycle of three pieces based on poetry by the composer’s father, in which he outlines the stages of life using analogies from nature.
