EUROPEAN BOOK CLUB - DISPUTE OVER A VERY ITALIAN PIGLET BY AMARA LAKHOUS

Alliance francaise Toronto, Consulate General of France, Goethe-Institut, Instituto Camões Portugal and Instituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto are pleased to invite you at the 2016 European Book club. This year's focus will be on authors who have migrated and adapted to a different country, writing in the new languages of their adopted homes. This opus will focus on Dispute Over a Very Italian Piglet by Amara Lakhous.

This multiethnic mystery pays homage to the cinematic tradition of the commedia all’italiana as it lightheartedly probes the challenges and joys of life in a newly multicultural society. Amara Lakhous was born in Algiers in 1970 and now lives in Italy where he has won the prestigious Flaiano prize for his second novel.
