Electric Runway: An Exploration of the Intersection of Fashion & Technology

Electric Runway is an exploration of the intersection of fashion and technology. We’re celebrating our launch at the Maker Festival kickoff party with a fashion-meets-tech runway showcase on the evening of Thursday, July 23rd at 918 Bathurst.

In this fashion-first showcase, audiences will be introduced to companies, designers, and products working in the fashion X tech space (think LED dresses, 3D-printed jewelry, and costumes for cyborgs—and that’s just a good start!).

Clothing and concepts have been sourced from Toronto and beyond, with products and garments travelling all the way from Montreal, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Ohio, and Sydney, Australia, to be part of the show. Garment-focused designers are paired with hardware companies to put together complete outfits for a runway show that asks not who we are but what we’re becoming.

Electric Runway is curated by freelance fashion X tech journalist Amanda Rebecca Cosco.
