Drumlore IV featuring DJ Basilisk and Sren Nordstrm

Drumlore returns to Toronto this August! We have booked ROUND to bring you an exclusive night of techno, trance, and psychedelia. Rather than pack the line-up with many names we're bringing things back to basics with long-form sets 3 hours apiece and talent capable of working a little magic in this context. The line-up:

SREN NORDSTRM [Drumlore]

Sren Nordstrm is a producer and DJ on the forefront of progressive electronic dance music in Canada. From moody, minimal techno to uplifting progressive house, Nordstrms style is an artful and intelligent blend of old and new influences.

Nordstrm moved to Toronto, Canada, in 2007 and soon found himself immersed in one of the worlds most diverse and eclectic underground scenes. Tapping into the collective creativity, he soon set out to produce his own brand of highly technical yet emotionally moving progressive techno. As a DJ, Nordstrms precise digital mixing, diverse selections, and smooth programming combine to captivate audiences.

For this event Sren will be performing a combination of ambient, minimal, and progressive techno, including original material released on his debut album, Deep State, available as a free download direct from Drumlore:

BASILISK [Ektoplazm, Drumlore, Omnitropic] 3 hour DJ set!

http://drumlore.com/profiles/dj-basilisk/

DJ Basilisk spins an eclectic variety of styles covering all points of the psychedelic trance and techno spectrum. Every performance is entirely improvised and custom-crafted to fit with the theme of the event and the flow of the night. With a history stretching back more than a decade, Basilisk is proficient in both vinyl and CD mixing, but now prefers using a laptop and MIDI controller to maximize the creative potential of his sets with harmonic mixing and an expert use of effects. A true believer in the classic techno-shamanistic concept of the set as a journey, Basilisk prefers to mix up the many styles of psytrance and techno rather than stick to one formula.

For this special return set Basilisk will be performing a 3 hour set crossing the boundary between techno and psytrance with 100 Creative Commons licensed content released via Ektoplazm.
