CITYLights installation at Nuit Blanche

As part of Nuit Blanche, CITYLights 2016 will transform Victoria Memorial Square at Wellington and Portland in downtown Toronto into a medium for illuminating important social and cultural issues. A main installation by designer Dereck Revington, who created the ‘Luminous Veil’ on the Bloor Viaduct, has entitled the installation “Facing Fire” to showcase issues of sustainability and the effects of global warming in such events as the forest fires in Fort McMurray.

The CITYLights initiative was created by the Toronto Lighting Collaborative www.torontolightingcollaborative.com.
