Character Improvisation

This workshop focuses on using the fundamentals of improvisation to create characters. Develop the skills to confidently create characters from the ground up, make simple choices to give life to big bold personas, and maintain character in an improvised scene with tricks of the trade used by alumni of The Second City, The Bad Dog Theatre and Impatient Theatre Company. Not only will you have several captivating and unique characters by the end of this workshop, but also you will work on physicality, spontaneity, narrative and emotion in your performance.

By exploring short form improv games (like those played on Whose Line is it Anyway?) build the skills to make ‘em laugh on stage!

Participants will obtain a FASI Certificate of Completion by the end of this module.

Dates: July 28-August 1, 2014 10:00AM-4:00PM
