Blue Coffee Reading Series #7: Niki Koulouris, Rudyard Fearon, and JC Bouchard

Proud to present readings by Niki Koulouris, Rudyard Fearon, and JC Bouchard. Hosted by Leigh Beadon.

Niki Koulouris was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her poetry and prose has appeared in The Cortland Review, Space, Metro Magazine, Subtext Magazine and The Age. A beer enthusiast, she has been known to start spontaneous lists on napkins of her top India Pale Ales. Niki lives in Toronto. The sea with no one in it is her first book. She hopes there will be another.

Rudyard Fearon has published four collections of poetry:Free Soil, Spin, Noise in my mind, and Lost Tongue. He has appeared on video twice, including the popular television documentary series Heart of a Poet which currently being sold on Amazom.com. The Rudyard Fearon papers is housed in the Thomas Fisher Rare book library at UofT. Rudy is long time member of the Art Bar board.

JC Bouchard is an emerging poet living in Toronto. His work has found a home in publications such as Extracts, In/Words, The Steel Chisel, Feathertale, Bywords, and Bywords Quarterly Journal, among others. In 2013, one of his poems--a fragmented collection of surreal encounters--was long-listed for the CBC Canada Writes Poetry Prize. Another poem, "The world ended seven months ago" received Honourable Mention for the 2013 Bywords John Newlove Poetry Award. His first chapbook, Portraits, is published by In/Words Magazine and Press of Carleton University in Ottawa.

Doors open at 8:00pm and first reader is on at 8:30pm.
