The Toronto Table Ensemble is delighted to present an intimate concert featuring exceptional talent from the world of classical Indian music.

We take pleasure in welcoming the critically acclaimed Indrani Mukhurjee, Apurba Mukhurjee and Santan Goswami at the Toronto Table Ensemble Centre for Indian Arts on Friday, May the 29th at 7 pm.

Vocalist Indrani Mukherjee began her singing at the young age of 3, and has since acquired years of training under masters of classical Hindustani music, including Pundit Arun Bhaduri and the late Vidushi Purnima Choudhury Ji.

Indrani performs in prestigious concerts all over India and has represented her country at major festivals in cities around the world, from Berlin to Damascus. Indrani is also a regular performer for All India Radio, as well as for broadcast television. A passionate and tireless teacher, Indrani has held vocal training and workshops for both beginners and professionals in Europe and the Middle East.

She is joined by her husband Apurba Mukhurjee on the tabla drums, and Santan Goswami on the harmonium. Apurba Mukhurjee is a disciple of the legendary Pandit Shankar Gosh and an established percussionist and composer. Mukhurjees teaching and festival touring has brought him to audiences across the Middle East, Europe and North America.

Goswami has performed both harmonium and vocals in collaboration with a number of legendary singers and tabla players at numerous music conferences across India, as well as internationally. Goswami also performs for the All India Radio and television.
