provides a better alternative than nauseating green beer: the thought provo=
king and spiritually-minded Yeats Project, created by Sarah Jerrom. =0A =
=0AThe Yeats Project is a contemporary chamber jazz group with a folk-flavo=
ured influence that features the poetry of William Butler Yeats. =0A =0ABle=
nding elements of jazz, improvisation and classical music, the Yeats Projec=
t presents the words of W.B. Yeats set to music in a completely unprecedent=
ed style and approach. This distinctive interpretation and the ensemble=E2=

kes the Yeats Project a rarity in terms of concept and sound. =0A =0AWith o=
riginal music and arrangements by Sarah Jerrom, the featured poems reflect =
upon themes such as spirituality, life as an artist, death, defeat and love=
. The nonet is comprised of strings, woodwinds, brass and a traditional ja=
zz rhythm section with vocalist Jerrom leading the ensemble. =0A =0ASarah J=
errom is a Toronto-based vocalist, composer, lyricist, and arranger whose m=
usic reflects a mix of eclectic and diverse influences. She is involved as =
a leader and collaborator in several improvising projects that include jazz=
, folk, roots, Irish, and creative music. Her 2007 CD release "Illumination=
s" has generated considerable attention for its originality and musicianshi=
p. Encompassing original compositions, jazz-inspired arrangements of contem=
porary songs and traditional jazz standards, "Illuminations" continues to r=
eceive widespread media attention and radio airplay locally, nationally, an=
d internationally.=0A =0AThe church sanctuary of St. George The Martyr is t=
