fter 20 years of trying. =0A=0AThe tour, called CNTRL: BEYOND EDM - ELECTRO=
NIC & TECHNO(LOGY) BASED MUSIC, will be a groundbreaking North American col=
lege tour combining educational daytime lectures on music technology presen=
ted by DUPSPOT in some of the leading universities and colleges, followed b=
y an evening of electronic music with RICHIE HAWTIN, LOCO DICE, EAN GOLDEN =
from DJ TechTools and their touring guest DJ's. =0A=0ASet to launch October=
 29 in Buffalo, NY and taking in Berklee College of Music on October 31 and=
 New York University=E2=80=99s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music (Nov=
ember 3), CNTRL will feature a selection of artists whom HAWTIN and DICE fe=
el will give a good cross-section of the current and cutting-edge sounds of=
 electronic music, including Carl Craig, Seth Troxler, Kevin Saunderson, Jo=
sh Wink, Victor Calderone, Paco Osuna, controller specialist DJ TechTools=
=E2=80=99 Ean Golden and others joining on specific days throughout the tou=
r. =0A=0ACNTRL will also feature special guest speakers in each city during=
 the daytime lecture programming, including Tiga (Nov 5, Montreal) and John=
 Acquaviva (Nov 6, London Ontario) with more to be announced.=0AThe events =
will focus on the techno and technology aspects of modern-day electronic mu=
sic, presenting the more futuristic and underground side of the genre, as c=
hampioned by HAWTIN and DICE and their peers for the last wo decades. =0A=
=0ACentral to the CNTRL concept are daytime seminars in the colleges to inf=
orm and inspire people about technology, music production, live performance=
, and the business of electronic music. These will take place from around 5=
pm-7pm on show day and are presented by worldrenowned electronic music prod=
uction and DJ school, DUBSPOT. All DJs performing on the night will partici=
pate in the master classes by day, and CNTRL will invite local DJ / product=
ion / industry pioneers from each region to also take part in the events. C=
NTRL will be a future thinking session but will also ensure the students le=
ave with a deeper understanding of how the genre developed to where it is t=
oday. The event then ends with a low-ticket gig at a venue near campus, giv=
ing the students a chance to experience the artists in action.=0A=0ACNTRL i=
s all about engaging young North American fans of EDM and showing them the =
roots of the music, the history of a global movement and demonstrating what=
 the future of music technology and performance has the power to become. Th=
e tour will take place in over 15 cities across the eastern part of North A=

anels with Hawtin and Dice, and moderate all educational elements on the co=

 DJ software used by Hawtin, Dice and Golden. Also Elektro, Onebeat.TV, Bea=
