LOCATION:Winchester Street Theatre
URL:http://www.blogto.com/events/64874
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:The School of Toronto Dance Theatre presents an ambitious main-stage perfor=
mance of ensemble works, showcasing dancers from all three years of the Pro=
fessional Training Program.

- First year students will premiere a new work by Darryl Tracy, which explo=
res the aspects of our lives that have clarity and those where the lines ar=
e blurred. The choreography involves Tracy's highly dynamic vocabulary, pre=
cision gestural work, and razor-sharp partnering.

- Second year students will remount three excerpts of Robert Desrosiers=E2=
=80=99 Vivaldi=E2=80=99s Sacred Songs (1997, 2004), an elegant, musical, an=
d demanding piece originally choreographed for his own company. The student=
s will also perform in a poetic and thoughtful new creation by Marc Boivin,=
 his fifth for the School.

- Third year students will premiere a quirky and idiosyncratic new piece by=
Peter Chin, whose past work for the School has tapped into a multitude of =
cultural references. Our graduating class will also remount Christopher Hou=
se=E2=80=99s Barnyard (1993), a satiric, lively piece that explores the nat=
ure of relationships. Finally, an excerpt of Brute (1994), a powerful and d=
ramatic solo by the masterful Peggy Baker, will be performed by our fourth =
year dancer, Amelia Iverson.
