is an English multi=2Dinstrumental musician=2C singer and =
music producer=2E His work is predominantly electronic music =
but incorporates non=2Delectronic styles and =
instruments=2E=0D=0A=0D=0AJacobs was born in the United =
Kingdom and grew up taking piano lessons=2C but mostly =
enjoyed playing television theme songs and music from =
adverts=2E As a teenager=2C he bought a Commodore Amiga 500 =
and began exploring electronic music with it=2E He still =
uses this 1985 computer to this day=2C but only for =
sequencing=2E The sounds on Max Tundra=E2=80=99s records =
come from a wide variety of sources=2C including real and =
synthetic musical instruments=2C arranged in dense=2C =
complex ways=2E Warp received one song he recorded titled =
=E2=80=9CChildren at Play=E2=80=9D and released it as a =
single in 1998=2E=0D=0A=0D=0AHe has released three =
well=2Dreceived albums for Domino Records=3A =E2=80=9CSome =
Best Friend You Turned Out To Be=E2=80=9D =28completely =
instrumental=29 released in 2000=2C =E2=80=9CMastered By Guy =
At The Exchange=E2=80=9D =28featuring vocals from Ben and =
sister Becky from the band Tunng=29 released in 2002 and =
=E2=80=9CParallax Error Beheads You=E2=80=9D =28just Ben on =
vocal duties=29=2C was released in October =
2008=2E=0D=0A=0D=0AOther than his full length albums=2C he =
has also done remix work for bands of varying genres =
including Franz Ferdinand=2C Architecture in Helsinki=2C =
Kid606 and the Pet Shop Boys=2E Tundra also hosts a weekly =
radio show on Resonance FM=2C called Max Tundra=E2=80=99s =
Rotogravure=2E He was one of the last ever musicians to =
record a John Peel Session=2E
