(Toronto – , 2014) – The horror anthology sequel ABCs Of Death 2 will arrive in theatres in Canada from Video Services Corp October 31, after debuting on demand and on iTunes October 20. An official selection of Fantastic Fest and the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, ABCs Of Death 2 features segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary genre film, including Vincenzo Natali (TV's Hannibal, Cube, Splice, Paris Je T'Aime), Aharon Keshales & Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves), and Bill Plympton (Idiots And Angels). Canadian talent is represented by Steven Kostanski (“W is for Wish”), Chris Nash (“Z is for Zygote”) and Vancouver directors Jen and Sylvia Soska (“T is for Torture Porn”). The Soska Sisters will be in attendance at the film’s screening in Vancouver on October 24 as part of the Rio Grande Film Festival.

ABCs Of Death 2 is the follow-up to the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived, with productions spanning from Nigeria to the UK to Brazil, and everywhere in between. Provocative, shocking, funny and at times confrontational, it is undoubtedly another global celebration of next generation genre filmmaking. The film is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death.

“This sequel is a different film from the first one. The overall quality appears higher and the variety of films is even more diverse,” explain producers Ant Timpson and Tim League. “The ABC project allows up-and-coming directors to showcase (and hopefully show off) their talent alongside some more established names in the industry. The idea of a genre-driven creative omnibus on a global scale is as exciting to us as producers as it was the first time around.”
