Puppet Allsorts presents Chad Solomon's Rabbit and Bear Paws: Nanabozhoo and the Animals

Puppet Allsorts is a new series of puppet shows here in Toronto's West End, showcasing Ontario puppeteers. We have one performance a month, ending in June 2013 with a puppet slam. Performances are between 30 and 45 minutes, with time at the end for a Q & A with the puppeteer(s).

This month, on March 17th, we are thrilled to present Chad Solomon, of Henvey Inlet First Nation, and his performance of part of his series called Rabbit and Bear Paws: Nanabozhoo and the Animals. This show is for the young and the young at heart. The series is set in 1750’s colonized North America and features the comical adventures of two brothers, Rabbit and Bear Paws. Using Traditional Native Teachings and humour, the stories are based on The Seven Fires Prophesies and The Seven Grandfathers.
