Presented by Spectrum Music: Love, Loneliness, and the Spaces Between

Attempts to articulate the unspeakable
February is dark and cold and lonely, which state is only amplified by storefront windows full of hearts and chocolates. Spectrum composers do away with hearts and chocolates, and instead cheer themselves up with totally angst-ridden poetry. Inspired by eclectic texts ranging from Robert Browning’s “Poryphia’s Lover” to Bertolt Brecht’s “Of poor b.b”, this concert runs the gamut of Valentines expressivity. Brought to life by the intimate vocals of Jessica Stuart and an ace Spectrum house band, this is a concert for the love-struck, the heartsick and everyone in between.
Presented in partnership with the Al Green Theatre.
