Announcing a new series at the Canadian Music Centre, in partnership with the 13th Street Winery.

On the 13th of every month come to the Canadian Music Centre to hear the best and brightest performers present works on our new Steingraeber & Söhne grand piano. After each concert join us for a tasting of wine from the 13th Street Winery.

Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

ACOUSTO-ELECTRIC

Electro-acoustic music is defined as “Music in which electronic technology is used to access, generate, explore and configure sound materials.” Acousto-Electric music is the anti-thesis of this. Its definition can therefore be conceived as “Music in which acoustic instruments are used to mimic and explore electronic sound.” International performer and junQtion co-founder Stephanie Chua’s programme aims to produce this very effect through the acoustic means of the piano.
