ARCHI-TEXTURES : KNOTIBEL pres. POPLAR DEMAND w/ LUMBERJOCKEY & BOY WONDER / LOOPSY DAZY / ONE FREE

February is upon us and Archi-textures Thursdays continue to keep us warm and cozy on the dance-floor. Thanks to everyone who made it out in January to support. Another great series of events to look forward to this month, all on the Augusta loop. This week we're back at Waterfalls Indian Tapas...

After more than a decade of breaks, bass, and ambient dub proselytizing, local retired raver/beached junglist Jeff Gold has put his drum and bass records aside and come out of the techno closet! The result is One Free Hand - carving a broad but delicate signature across the deeper, subtler corridors of tech house, focused on big body moving sounds at bobbing organic tempos.

Back by poplar demand, knotibel is pleased to welcome resident band Loopsy Dazy to the stage once again. Improvised live effected and looped acoustics from violinist Eleanor Edgar and multi-instrumentalist Mikey Dorje , all wrapped in the phenomenal percussions of Brad Weber. Together they paint a vibrant musical tapestry of organic electronics that should not have been missed the first time.

And as we all know, every superhero deserves a complimentary sidekick. This Thursday, lumberjockey battles music crime with the help of Boy Wonder and his paranormal effects. Secret identities to be revealed on site. Sideknot: Hoop Ninjas are welcome to join in the fight.

Visual enthusiasts be advised, the time travelling brand.in.transit supplies us with light and movement in transition. Look both ways before crossing.
