For this exhibition at Pari Nadimi Gallery, Peter Kingstone will present a series of drawings. Kingstone uses the sweet science of boxing as the starting point for this new drawing project. Boxing is the purest form of battle—simply of strength, wits and resolve. The drawings are rendered in simple black pastel to reflect the simplicity of the fight. The artist is also very interested in the ability of the boxer to ignore their body; to be punched without fear, and the brutality of punching another. There is desire in the drawing wishing the artist could be a boxer.
