Nggaali Love Raising Valentine\'s Day Party

Torontonians can make Valentine’s Day a global love affair this year. The Nggaali Project, a program initiated by Canadian composer Cynthia Long to nourish the Ugandan child through the healing power of music, the arts and technology, is hosting a Valentine’s Day cabaret party for couples, singles and families. The evening will feature a full buffet dinner, a powerful line-up of music and dance performances, healing arts sessions, silent auction, DJ, and children’s activities run by Nggaali Kids Canada, a program launched by photographer Maylynn Quan, fostering artistic and entrepreneurial exchange between children in Uganda and Canada. The event will be held at Daniels Spectrum, one of Toronto’s newest and most innovative cultural venues.

In addition to an evening of great food, entertainment and dancing, attendees will have the joy of supporting Nggaali Project initiatives in Uganda. The party will also align with One Billion Rising and the Idle No More movement.

Artists performing at the Nggaali Love Raising Valentine’s Day Party include: COBA, Amai Kuda, Sani Ijovudu Dance, the Inner Truth Taiko Dojo Drummers, Changu Changezi, Michael Moon, Little Pear Garden Collective, Karusia Wroblewski, Cynthia Long with Chris Gartner, Muhtadi Thomas, Amadou Kienou and Allan Legall; First Nations performers, the Nggaali Kids themselves onscreen, and more.
