DJ Rashad has been instrumental to the creation and evolution of Chicago Juke music and has been lifelong friends with other key players on the scene such as Paul Johnson, DJ Gant-Man, DJ Spinn, DJ Godfather and Jammin Gerald. He has the ability to blend elements of house, ghetto house, disco, juke, and ghetto tech together with a knack for creating sparse, snappy tracks that manage to convey a physicality and funk with spectacular precision. Along with his teammates DJ Spinn and DJ Gant-Man, DJ Rashad has become notorious for making Juke anthems that have made fans outside the world of Chicago mix cds. He’s released records on Dancemania, Juke Trax, Planet Mu, created his own label, Ghettophiles, as well as had featured remixes on BBE, Palms Out Sounds, and Movel Traxx. He’s received press coverage from DJ Mag, XLR8R, Fact, Resident Advisor, as well as Rip It Up. Additionally, he’s headlined parties such as London’s Night Slugs, Brussel’s Regulate, Chicago’s Mad Decent Block Party, and New York City’s Turrbotax and Moma’s PS1 events. Recently DJ Rashad's Teklife Vol.1 was acclaimed by SPIN as the #1 Best Dance Album of 2012 and was also celebrated by The New York Times, The Fader, The Wire, Resident Advisor, XLR8R & countless others. His next release Teklife Vol.3: The Rashad & Manny Show is dropping February 5th.

THUGLI is a production/dj partnership between longtime friends Tom Wrecks and Drastik. Both were raised in Ottawa and are now based in Toronto. Drastik, a former national Redbull Thre3style and DMC champion and Tom Wrecks, known for his production and popular remixes, formed Thugli in June of 2012. The duo's sound bridges the gap between Hip Hop and Electronic Dance Music (EDM), showcasing a unique take on a rapid growing marriage of genres. Thugli released a three track E.P in July of 2012 and followed up with many notable remixes. The duo's production immediately saw support from Hip Hop and EDM industry leaders including Diplo, A-Trak, Green Lantern, Flosstradamus, Trap-A-Holics, Baauer, and RL Grime as well as airplay on Rinse FM, Sirius Satellite, Shade 45, and BBC Radio 1. The two are currently working on remixes for various labels as well as a new record slated for early 2013.
