Come to the Toronto MovNat Fundamentals Workshop!
MovNat is a fitness and physical education system that teaches you how to move naturally with ease, power and grace. You can become very fit through the practice, and that fitness is applicable to any area of life.
MovNat training can enhance athletic ability, improve activities of daily life , help rehabilitate movement dysfunctions, and provide a meaningful framework for physical exercise in general.
This is the first workshop of the year, and the first of many!

As the year progresses closer to more enjoyable temperatures, so should our movement proficiencies and fitness levels progress. The goal is to be as close to near - equalized proficiency in all physical competencies as possible by spring! At this point, Toronto MovNat Workshops will be geared towards out-door training sessions in various parts of Toronto with more focus on the practical applications of MovNat training.
That's the plan.
All it takes is regular, mindful practice and adherence to organic fitness and lifestyle management.
With participation in this workshop, you will receive a PDF of a number of workouts and combos you can use to further your MovNat training on your own, until the next workshop.
We are inside the Rapier Wit Studio for 4 hours of movement practice and training, laying a fundamental base of natural human movement skills with a view to the spring and summer. We will spend time on the things that lay the groundwork for more advanced training, including:
Movement Efficiency Principles
Balance & Posture
Fundamental Human Movement Skills: Lifting, Balancing, Crawling, etc.
Organic Fitness and Lifestyle Management - nutrition, sleep, frequency of training, etc (the little things that make it all come together)!
There is a also great opportunity to show off your culinary skills:
We're having a Paleo Potluck snack break!
Focus on delicious, high energy, easily digestible snacks - something you could pack lightly and consume quickly. Grain-free, soy-free, gluten-free and refined sugar-free please.
(This is optional, so don't feel pressured if you can't come up with anything.)
Clothes for movement and sweating indoors. If you are not comfortable moving gently around on your knees and elbows on wood floors, maybe bring a yoga mat. Bring some water and your Paleo Potluck Snack. Footwear is optional - if you wear something on your feet, make sure they have non-marking soles, please.
You will need to sign a standard waiver prior to participation. And you will need to be careful and mindful while training!
