CaffeineTO Week: Coffee Cupping at Fahrenheit

With over 10 years of coffee expertise under his belt, Sameer of Fahrenheit Coffee will offer a Cupping (coffee tasting) workshop, where participants will have the opportunity to test their own palettes and decipher 5 distinct coffees from different parts of the world.

Fahrenheit Coffee owner Sameer Mohamed moved to Toronto from Montreal in 2009 with the dream to open a specialty coffee shop, where the purpose of the business would be to educate everyday coffee consumers on the diversities of coffees from around the world; to show that a coffee from Ethiopia can have flavours of blueberries and chocolate; A coffee from Brazil can have notes of amaretto and caramel.

Fahrenheit Coffee in the brief year since it opened its doors has earned the title of Best Specialty Coffee Shop by NOW! Magazine, and continues to strive to provide that perfect cup of coffee. Sameer has competed at the National Barista Championships several times, placing 5th in the country in the 2012 competition.
