It was a youth variety show with the most humble beginnings, which emerged as a entertainment powerhouse and who's popularity has yet to be rivalled. It was an outlet for brand new music from brand new artists or known ones with growing prominence. But equally important, the Soul Train broadcast became the birthplace, the fountainhead of new fashions as well as dance moves by it's participants. No outfit was too eccentric or risqué, no colours were too bright or mismatched, no dance move was too difficult or back-breaking. So much so, Soul Train created some of the greatest and most revered moments in TV history, including the legendary Soul Train line - the ORIGINAL flash mob.

So whether you do a simple two step and that's it, or doing the splits is your sh*t, whether shirt and jeans are your thing, or outlandish outfits make you bling, Soul Train Tribute will be a night reviving an era when dancing was king.
