Songs That Saved Me
Songs that Saved Me - A Typography Show to Get You Through the Snow
(Toronto -- January 4, 2013)
Coming this January 17, 2013 to HUNTCLUB Studio (a new multidisciplinary studio and gallery space in Toronto’s Little Italy located at 709 College Street west), Songs that Saved Me is a typography/illustration show that will pull you out of your seasonal depression/food comas and bring joy to your sad wintry lives.
We've asked local artists to create pieces featuring lyrics/words from a song that has lifted them through their toughest times.
For this show, we've selected an extensive roster of talented local artists. We will be showcasing work by artists such as Dave Murray, Rafael Ruiz, Justin Broadbent, Kathryn Macnaughton, and Marlene Silveira.
HUNTCLUB will be displaying and selling originals, archival prints, as well as posters to keep you inspired throughout this dark winter season. Pieces are priced to sell, as it is HUNTCLUB’s mandate to make purchasing art a feasible activity for our community.
The opening reception is January 17, 2013, from 7pm - 11pm and will remain on exhibition from 12pm-8pm on weekdays (closed on Mondays) and from 12-6pm on weekends. The show will remain on exhibition until February 8, 2013.
