Internationally renowned Buddhist teacher Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong to give free talk in Toronto
U.K. based Buddhist teacher Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong will give a free talk on Wednesday, January 30 on Meditation & Modern Buddhism. The 90 minute talk, open to the public to register and attend, is based on the book Modern Buddhism: the Path of Wisdom and Compassion, offering applied lessons on Buddha’s teachings on compassion and wisdom. Gen-la will give practical advice on how to reduce daily stress, dissatisfaction and frustration, and ways to find genuine peace and happiness -- a fitting note to begin the New Year on. This evening is perfectly suited for anyone looking to add peace to their life.

About Gen-la Dekyong
Originally from Ireland, now based in the U.K., Gen-la Dekyong is an inspiring and engaging teacher whose lessons are of interest to everyone, whether Buddhist or not, young or old. Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong has been a disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 30 years and has taught Dharma in many different countries. In 2010, she became the General Spiritual Director of the tradition and continues to work closely with the founder, who retired in 2009. She is a living example of loving kindness and wisdom, faith and patience. Her sense of humor and her deep understanding of Buddha’s Teachings, make her talks a delight to attend.
