We’ve had a beautiful ride at the Pubaret since the beginning of September, with incredible songs and loving audiences filling our Wednesday evenings. However, all things must end – or at least “take a break”! We hope that you’ll join us as we wind down the SONGBOOK SERIES with our final performance : )

ABOUT The HAPPY HOLIDAYS SONGBOOK
We’re doing a double-theme for our final show – I’m selecting my personal favorites from each of the Songbooks we’ve explored through the series (a Greatest Hits cavalcade – gorgeous songs from Gershwin, Porter, Berlin, Kern, et al) PLUS a generous serving of classic Holiday music. With Reg Schwager (guitar) and Steve Wallace (bass) on board, this will be a swellegant swan song :)

THE PLAYERS:
John Alcorn (Vocals)
Reg Schwager (Guitar)
Steve Wallace (Bass)

BY THE WAY...
Robert Cushman of the National Post wrote a beautiful review of the opening night performance. You can read it here:

ABOUT JOHN ALCORN
The Toronto Star calls John Alcorn “one of our finest interpreters of the ‘great American songbook,’ an artist who always knows how to walk the fine line between respecting the material and offering an original interpretation.”

JazzFM.91 has dubbed him “one of the most exciting vocal interpreters to appear on the scene in many years, Alcorn is the consummate vocal artist combining intuition, musicality and good taste.”
