A Bitter Taste of Freedom: Film Screening and Director Q&A

In honour of those who have been harassed, threatened, tortured, intimidated, jailed and worse for exercising their basic human right to free expression, CJFE will screen a documentary film about the life and career of murdered Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya at Innis Town Hall on Thursday, November 22 at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM).

The 2011 film, A Bitter Taste of Freedom, offers an intimate portrait of Politkovskaya from the perspective of her friend, Russian documentary filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya. Marina will be joining us on Thursday and will stay for a Q&A period, hosted by OMNI’s National VP Madeline Ziniak.

Tickets are $15 at the door; $12 in advance at cjfe2012.eventbrite.org
